Children's Ministries

Sunday school
Our Sunday school program is for children K-8th grade. Middle school girls (Amicus Club), middle school boys, and elementary grades meet in the Youth Center. Sunday school is held from 9:30-10:30am.

Nursery
Our nursery is a fun place for children to visit while their parents are attending worship. Young children will find games, puzzles, videos and toys to play with that coincide with the Sunday school lesson but, most importantly, they will experience God's love through the patient, faithful and dedicated staff there. The nursery is for children ages up to 5 years old and is located in the Children's Library. Parents are given a pager so that they may be contacted quietly if needed during the worship service.

Family Ministries

Family Night!
Wednesday night is Family Night here at South Congregational Church. We begin at 6:00 pm in Archibald Chapel with a Worship & Prayer Meeting that includes music lead by our Director of Worship Arts Sheila Hodges as well as prayer and personal testimonies. Then at 7:00 pm there are opportunities for everyone. Pastor Adam leads a Bible Study in the Parlor. Our Director of Youth Ministry Jonathan Parker leads PULSE (our youth group) in the Youth Center. Vicki Huffman, our Director of Children and Family Ministry, heads up Kids Klub in Gray Hall for the youngest ministers among us. And Renée Söderberg leads a Bible Study/Baking ministry called “Cookies & Christ” in the kitchen. At 8:30 pm we head home recharged and ready to face the rest the week.
